You can't directly delete your profile in Windows 11. Instead, you need to create a new administrator account and then delete the old one. Here's how:
Create a New Administrator Account
- Open Settings: Press Windows key + I or click the Start menu and select Settings.
- Go to Accounts: Click Accounts in the left-hand menu.
- Select Family & other users: Click Family & other users in the right-hand pane.
- Add a new user: Click Add account.
- Choose "I don't have this person's sign-in information": Select the option to create a new account.
- Enter the new account information: Fill in the required details for the new account, including a username and password. Make sure to select Administrator as the account type.
- Finish: Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Delete the Old Profile
- Log out of the old account: Sign out of the user account you want to delete.
- Log in to the new administrator account: Sign in using the new account you just created.
- Open Settings: Press Windows key + I or click the Start menu and select Settings.
- Go to Accounts: Click Accounts in the left-hand menu.
- Select Family & other users: Click Family & other users in the right-hand pane.
- Select the old account: Click on the user account you want to delete.
- Remove the account: Click Remove.
Important Note:
- Deleting an account will permanently remove all its data, including files, settings, and applications.
- Make sure to back up any important data before deleting an account.
