You can add a trusted network location in Windows 11 to ensure that your computer has the appropriate security settings for that specific network. Here's how:
- Open Settings: Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
- Go to Network & Internet: Click on Network & internet in the left-hand menu.
- Select Wi-Fi or Ethernet: Choose the network type you want to trust, either Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Click on Advanced Network Settings: Click on the Advanced network settings option at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Private: Under Network Profile, choose the Private option.
Once you've selected Private, your computer will treat this network as a trusted location, allowing you to access files and applications with greater ease.
Note: You can also change the network profile to Public for networks you don't trust, which will apply stricter security measures.
