How Do I Change the Animation in Windows 10?

You can customize the animation speed and effects in Windows 10 to create a more personalized experience. Here's how:

1. Accessing Ease of Access Settings:

  • Open the Settings app by pressing the Windows key + I.
  • Click on Ease of Access.

2. Adjusting Animation Speed:

  • Select Other options on the left pane.
  • Under Animation, you can choose from three different animation speeds:
    • No animation
    • Slow
    • Default

3. Modifying Visual Effects:

  • Go back to the main Ease of Access page.
  • Click on Visual Effects.
  • You can turn on or off specific visual effects like:
    • Fade in/out menus
    • Show animations in windows
    • Show visual effects on windows

4. Using the Registry Editor:

  • For more advanced customization, you can use the Registry Editor.
  • Caution: Modifying the registry can be risky if not done correctly.
  • Backup your registry before making any changes.
  • Search for regedit in the Windows search bar and open it.
  • Navigate to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.
  • You can modify the AnimationSpeed and VisualEffects values to change animation speeds and effects.

Example:

If you want to disable all animations, set the AnimationSpeed value to 0.

Note: The changes you make will be applied immediately.
