You can disable your laptop display in Windows 11 by connecting an external monitor and then extending your desktop to the external monitor. Once extended, you can right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings". In the "Multiple displays" section, select "Disconnect this display" for your laptop screen.
Here are the steps in detail:
- Connect an external monitor: Make sure your laptop is connected to an external monitor using an HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA cable.
- Extend your desktop: Once connected, right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings". Choose "Extend these displays" from the "Multiple displays" section.
- Disable your laptop display: Right-click on your desktop again and select "Display settings". In the "Multiple displays" section, click on the "Identify" button to confirm which display is your laptop screen. Once identified, click on the "Disconnect this display" button for your laptop screen.
Note: Disabling your laptop display will only work if an external monitor is connected and your desktop is extended to the external monitor.
