You can easily manage your hotspot on Windows 10 using the Settings app.
Setting Up Your Hotspot
- Open Settings: Click the Start button and select Settings.
- Select Network & Internet: Click on Network & Internet in the left-hand menu.
- Choose Mobile Hotspot: In the Network & Internet window, select Mobile Hotspot.
- Enable Hotspot: Toggle the Mobile Hotspot switch to On.
- Customize Your Hotspot:
- Network name: Change the default name of your hotspot.
- Password: Set a password to secure your hotspot.
- Sharing options: Choose which devices can connect to your hotspot.
Connecting to Your Hotspot
- Find Your Hotspot: On the device you want to connect, search for available Wi-Fi networks.
- Select Your Hotspot: Choose the name of your Windows 10 hotspot from the list.
- Enter the Password: Enter the password you set for your hotspot.
Disabling Your Hotspot
- Open Settings: Click the Start button and select Settings.
- Select Network & Internet: Click on Network & Internet in the left-hand menu.
- Choose Mobile Hotspot: In the Network & Internet window, select Mobile Hotspot.
- Disable Hotspot: Toggle the Mobile Hotspot switch to Off.
Troubleshooting Your Hotspot
- Check your internet connection: Ensure your Windows 10 device has a stable internet connection.
- Verify your hotspot settings: Double-check the name, password, and sharing options of your hotspot.
- Restart your devices: Restart both your Windows 10 device and the device you're trying to connect.
- Update your drivers: Update your network drivers for your Windows 10 device.
