How Do I Delete an Account on GitHub?

Deleting your GitHub account is a straightforward process. Here's how to do it:

  1. Log in to your GitHub account.
  2. Navigate to your Account Settings. You can find this by clicking on your profile picture in the top right corner of the GitHub website, then selecting "Settings."
  3. Click on "Account" in the left sidebar.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Delete account."
  5. Enter your password and click "Delete account" again to confirm your decision.

Important Notes:

  • Deleting your GitHub account is permanent and irreversible.
