Published in Video Editing 2 mins read

You can select multiple items in Final Cut Pro using a few different methods:

1. Click and Drag

  • Click and drag your mouse over the items you want to select. This method is ideal for selecting contiguous items, like a series of clips on the timeline.

2. Shift + Click

  • Click the first item you want to select.
  • Hold down the Shift key and click on the last item you want to select. This method selects all items between the first and last clicked items.

3. Command + Click

  • Hold down the Command key and click on each individual item you want to select. This method allows you to select non-contiguous items.

4. Selection Tool

  • Use the Selection Tool to select multiple items. This tool allows you to select multiple items by clicking and dragging a box around them.

5. Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Use keyboard shortcuts to select multiple items. For example, Command + A selects all items in the timeline.

By using these methods, you can easily select multiple items in Final Cut Pro and perform actions on them simultaneously.
