How Do You Set a Fossil Analog Watch?

Published in Timekeeping 2 mins read

Setting a Fossil analog watch is a simple process that involves adjusting the hands to the correct time. Here's how to do it:

1. Pull Out the Crown

Locate the crown, a small knob usually on the right side of the watch case. Gently pull the crown out to the first position. You'll feel a click when it's in the correct position.

2. Adjust the Time

Turn the crown clockwise to move the hour and minute hands forward. To set the seconds hand, pull the crown out to the second position (you'll feel another click). Turn the crown clockwise to adjust the seconds hand.

3. Push the Crown Back In

Once the time is set, gently push the crown back in to the original position. This will lock the hands in place.

Important Note: The exact steps for setting the time may vary slightly depending on your specific Fossil watch model. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions.

Additional Tips:

  • If your watch has a date window, you can usually adjust the date by pulling the crown out to the second position and turning it counter-clockwise.
  • Some Fossil watches have a quick-set feature for the date, allowing you to adjust it by turning the crown clockwise.
  • If you are unsure about setting your watch, consult a watch repair professional.
