You'll receive an official score report from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) that tells you whether you passed the GRE.
Finding Your GRE Score
- ETS Account: You can access your official scores through your ETS account.
- Email: ETS will also send you an email notification with a link to your score report.
Score Reporting
- Score Range: The GRE is scored on a scale of 130-170 for each section (Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing).
- Percentile Rank: Your score report will also include your percentile rank, which indicates how your score compares to other test-takers.
- Individual Section Scores: You'll receive separate scores for each section of the GRE.
Passing the GRE
- No Official Passing Score: There is no official passing score for the GRE. Graduate schools set their own minimum score requirements.
- Program-Specific Requirements: You should check the websites of the graduate programs you are interested in to see their specific GRE score requirements.
