Paktel, the original name of Pakistan's first cellular network, no longer exists. It was rebranded as Telenor Pakistan in 2005 after Telenor, a Norwegian telecommunications company, acquired a controlling stake in the company.
Telenor Pakistan currently operates as a subsidiary of Telenor Group, offering various telecommunications services, including mobile, internet, and data services to the Pakistani market.
Therefore, the new name of Paktel is Telenor Pakistan.
