Connecting an Apple Pencil to your iPad is incredibly easy and requires no pairing or setup.
How It Works:
- Magnetic Connection: The Apple Pencil (1st generation) and Apple Pencil (2nd generation) both connect magnetically to your iPad. Simply align the pencil with the magnetic connector on the side of your iPad, and it will automatically attach.
- Automatic Pairing: Once connected, the Apple Pencil will automatically pair with your iPad. You can then use it to draw, write, and take notes.
Identifying the Correct Connector:
- Apple Pencil (1st generation): This pencil has a lightning connector and pairs with iPad models that have a lightning port.
- Apple Pencil (2nd generation): This pencil is thinner and has a flat edge that connects to the magnetic connector on the side of compatible iPad models.
