How Do I Temporarily Share Audio on AirPods?

Published in Technology 1 min read

You can temporarily share audio on your AirPods with another person using Audio Sharing. This feature lets two sets of AirPods listen to the same audio simultaneously.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Bring your AirPods close to the device playing audio. This could be an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Open the Control Center on your device. You can do this by swiping down from the top-right corner of the screen on an iPhone or iPad, or by clicking on the Control Center icon in the menu bar on a Mac.
  3. Tap the "Audio Sharing" icon. It looks like two overlapping AirPods.
  4. Bring your friend's AirPods close to your device. They should be able to hear the audio playing through your device.

Important Notes:

  • You can share audio with any AirPods, not just the same model.
  • The audio quality may be slightly lower when sharing.
  • You can only share audio with one other person at a time.
