How do I see what is running in the background on a Chromebook?

Published in Technology 1 min read

You can see what's running in the background on your Chromebook by checking your Task Manager.

Here's how:

  1. Open the Task Manager: Press Ctrl + Alt + T on your keyboard.
  2. View Running Apps: The Task Manager will show you all the apps currently running on your Chromebook, including those in the background.
  3. Identify Background Processes: Look for apps that are not visible on your screen. These are the apps running in the background.

You can also end a background process by selecting it in the Task Manager and clicking the "End Task" button.

Note: Some apps may continue running in the background even if they are not visible, such as apps that are used for notifications or syncing data.
