You can permanently delete WhatsApp messages from both sides using the "Delete for Everyone" feature. This feature allows you to remove messages from both your own device and the recipient's device, as long as the message hasn't been read yet.
Here's how to do it:
- Open the WhatsApp chat containing the message you want to delete.
- Long-press the message.
- Tap the "Delete" icon (the trash can icon) in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select "Delete for Everyone" from the pop-up menu.
Important:
- The "Delete for Everyone" feature only works if the recipient hasn't yet read the message.
- Once a message is read, you can only delete it from your own device using the "Delete for Me" option.
Note: If you're trying to delete a message that you sent a long time ago, it might not be possible to delete it from both sides. WhatsApp only allows you to delete messages within a certain timeframe (usually a few hours or days), and the exact timeframe can vary depending on your device and WhatsApp version.
