You can download a worksheet from Tableau as a static image, a PDF file, or a data extract.
Downloading a Worksheet as an Image
- Open the worksheet you want to download.
- Click the "Export" button in the top-right corner of the Tableau window.
- Select "Image" from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the image format you prefer (PNG, JPG, or GIF).
- Click "Export" to save the image to your computer.
Downloading a Worksheet as a PDF
- Open the worksheet you want to download.
- Click the "Export" button in the top-right corner of the Tableau window.
- Select "PDF" from the dropdown menu.
- Customize the PDF settings (e.g., page size, orientation, and margins).
- Click "Export" to save the PDF to your computer.
Downloading a Worksheet as a Data Extract
- Open the worksheet you want to download.
- Click the "Data" menu in the top toolbar.
- Select "Extract Data".
- Choose the desired data format (e.g., .csv, .xlsx, or .txt).
- Click "Extract" to save the data extract to your computer.
Remember that downloading a worksheet as an image or PDF will only save a static snapshot of the visualization. The data extract will contain the underlying data used in the worksheet, allowing you to analyze it further in other tools.
