How Do I Create a Project Folder in Tableau Server?

You can create a project folder in Tableau Server through the web interface. Here are the steps:

  1. Log in to Tableau Server: Open your web browser and navigate to the Tableau Server URL. Enter your credentials to log in.
  2. Navigate to Projects: In the top navigation bar, click on Projects.
  3. Create a New Project: Click the + New Project button in the top right corner.
  4. Enter Project Details: In the pop-up window, enter a name for your project folder. You can also optionally add a description.
  5. Select Permissions: Choose the appropriate permissions for your project folder. You can set permissions for different user groups or individuals.
  6. Confirm Creation: Click Create to finalize the project folder creation.

Your new project folder will now be listed under Projects. You can use it to organize and manage your workbooks, data sources, and other Tableau assets.
