How to Export a Dashboard in Tableau Public?

Published in Tableau Public 2 mins read

You can't directly export a dashboard from Tableau Public in the same way you can export a workbook from Tableau Desktop. However, you can still share your dashboard in several ways:

1. Embed your dashboard on a website or blog:

  • Go to your dashboard in Tableau Public.
  • Click the Share button.
  • Choose Embed.
  • Copy the embed code and paste it into your website or blog.

2. Download your dashboard as an image:

  • Go to your dashboard in Tableau Public.
  • Click the Share button.
  • Choose Download.
  • Select the desired image format (PNG, JPEG, or PDF).

3. Download your dashboard as a PDF:

  • Go to your dashboard in Tableau Public.
  • Click the Share button.
  • Choose Download.
  • Select PDF as the format.

4. Create a link to your dashboard:

  • Go to your dashboard in Tableau Public.
  • Copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
  • Share this link with others.

5. Use Tableau Public's interactive embed feature:

  • Go to your dashboard in Tableau Public.
  • Click the Share button.
  • Choose Embed.
  • Select the Interactive option.
  • Copy the embed code and paste it into your website or blog.

Remember that these options will not export the dashboard as a standalone file that you can open in Tableau Desktop. You can only share the dashboard publicly through Tableau Public.
