Roundnet, also known as Spikeball, was developed by Jeff Knurek and Chris Ruder.
The duo first created the game in 2008 while attending Ohio State University. They were inspired by the popular beach volleyball game, but wanted to create something more portable and accessible.
The original game was played with a small trampoline and a beach volleyball. However, the game quickly gained popularity and the creators began working on a dedicated roundnet set.
This set included a regulation-sized roundnet platform and a specially designed ball. The game has since become a popular recreational and competitive sport, played by millions of people worldwide.
