Only one country has ever walked on the moon: the United States.
The United States achieved this milestone with the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, when astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to set foot on the lunar surface.
Since then, several other Apollo missions have landed on the moon, with a total of 12 different astronauts walking on its surface.
While other countries have sent spacecraft to the moon and even landed probes on its surface, none have yet achieved the feat of sending humans to walk on the lunar surface.
