You can unprotect a protected Excel workbook by using the "Unprotect Sheet" or "Unprotect Workbook" command.
Unprotecting a Sheet
- Open the Excel workbook you want to unprotect.
- Select the sheet you want to unprotect.
- Go to the "Review" tab in the Excel ribbon.
- Click on the "Unprotect Sheet" button in the "Changes" group.
- Enter the password if you know it. If you don't know the password, you can't unprotect the sheet.
Unprotecting the Entire Workbook
- Open the Excel workbook you want to unprotect.
- Go to the "File" tab in the Excel ribbon.
- Click on the "Info" button.
- Click on the "Protect Workbook" button in the "Protect Workbook" group.
- Click on "Unprotect Workbook" in the drop-down menu.
- Enter the password if you know it. If you don't know the password, you can't unprotect the workbook.
Important Notes
- If you've forgotten the password, you won't be able to unprotect the sheet or workbook.
- You may need to have specific permissions to unprotect the sheet or workbook.
