How Do You Select Multiple Groups in Inkscape?

You can select multiple groups in Inkscape using the following methods:

Using the Selection Tool

  1. Select the Selection Tool: Click on the Selection Tool icon in the toolbar.
  2. Click and Drag: Click and drag your mouse over the groups you want to select. The groups will be highlighted as you drag.
  3. Release the Mouse Button: Release the mouse button to complete the selection.

Using the Shift Key

  1. Select the Selection Tool: Click on the Selection Tool icon in the toolbar.
  2. Select the First Group: Click on the first group you want to select.
  3. Hold Shift Key: Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard.
  4. Click on Additional Groups: Click on each additional group you want to select while holding the Shift key.

Using the Ctrl Key

  1. Select the Selection Tool: Click on the Selection Tool icon in the toolbar.
  2. Select the First Group: Click on the first group you want to select.
  3. Hold Ctrl Key: Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
  4. Click on Additional Groups: Click on each additional group you want to select while holding the Ctrl key.

Using the Selection Menu

  1. Open the Selection Menu: Click on the "Select" menu in the toolbar.
  2. Select "Select All" to select all groups on the canvas.
  3. Select "Select Same" to select all groups with the same properties as the currently selected group.

Using the Keyboard Shortcuts

  1. Select "Select All": Press Ctrl+A on your keyboard to select all groups on the canvas.
  2. Select "Select Same": Press Shift+L on your keyboard to select all groups with the same properties as the currently selected group.
