How do I factory reset a Google Nest?

You can factory reset your Google Nest device to restore it to its original settings. Here's how:

For Google Nest Hub, Nest Hub Max, or Nest Hub (2nd Gen):

  1. Touch and hold the top of the screen until the device restarts.
  2. Select "Factory Reset" from the menu that appears.
  3. Confirm your choice to proceed with the reset.

For Google Nest Mini (1st Gen):

  1. Press and hold the top button for about 15 seconds.
  2. Release the button when you hear a chime sound.
  3. Wait for the device to reset.

For Google Nest Mini (2nd Gen), Nest Audio, and Nest Wifi:

  1. Unplug the device from the power source.
  2. Press and hold the reset button on the back of the device for about 15 seconds.
  3. Plug the device back in.
  4. Wait for the device to reset.

For Google Nest Hub (1st Gen):

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Select your Nest Hub device.
  3. Tap "Settings".
  4. Select "Factory Reset".
  5. Confirm your choice to proceed with the reset.

Note: Factory resetting your Google Nest device will erase all your data, including your Wi-Fi settings, personalized preferences, and any connected accounts. Make sure to back up any important data before proceeding.
