How to Check Skin pH at Home?

Published in Skin pH Testing 1 min read

You can check your skin's pH at home using pH test strips. These strips are readily available online or at drugstores. To use them, simply:

  1. Clean the area of skin you want to test with water.
  2. Apply a drop of water to the test strip.
  3. Compare the color change on the strip to the color chart on the packaging. This will indicate the pH level of your skin.

Important Note: Skin pH can vary across different areas of the body. For example, the pH of your face may be different from the pH of your arms.

Additional Tips:

  • You can also use a pH meter to check your skin's pH. However, these are more expensive and may not be necessary for home use.
  • If you're concerned about your skin's pH, it's always best to consult with a dermatologist. They can provide you with personalized advice based on your skin type and needs.
