You can easily add Microsoft Authenticator to your Microsoft account for enhanced security.
1. Download the App
- Download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Open the App and Sign In
- Open the app and tap "Add account".
- Select "Work or school account".
- Enter your Microsoft account email address and tap "Next".
3. Scan the QR Code
- You'll be directed to a screen with a QR code.
- Open your Microsoft account on a web browser.
- Go to "Security" and select "More security options".
- Under "Authenticator app", click "Set up".
- Scan the QR code displayed on your phone using the Microsoft Authenticator app.
4. Verify Your Account
- Enter the 6-digit verification code displayed on the app into the Microsoft account webpage.
- Click "Verify".
Your Microsoft account is now secured with Microsoft Authenticator. You'll receive push notifications for login attempts and can easily approve or deny access.
