You can access custom metadata in Salesforce through the Setup menu. Here's how:
- Navigate to Setup: Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of your Salesforce org and select Setup.
- Search for Custom Metadata: In the Quick Find box, type "Custom Metadata" and select Custom Metadata Types.
- Select Your Custom Metadata Type: From the list of custom metadata types, choose the one you want to access.
- View and Edit Records: You can now view, edit, and create new records for your chosen custom metadata type.
Example:
Let's say you have a custom metadata type called "Product Features" that stores information about product features. To access it, you would follow the steps above and select "Product Features" in step 3. You would then see a list of all the product feature records, which you can edit or create new ones.
Remember:
- You can also access custom metadata records through the Developer Console by using the SOQL query language.
- Custom metadata is a powerful tool for storing and managing configuration data in your Salesforce org.
