You can edit room sizes in Revit by directly manipulating the room boundaries or by adjusting the geometry of the walls that define the room.
Editing Room Boundaries
- Select the room: Click on the room you want to edit in the plan view.
- Edit the boundary: You can now directly edit the boundary lines of the room.
- Drag the handles: Use the handles that appear on the boundary lines to move them and reshape the room.
- Add or remove points: Click on the boundary line to add or remove points, allowing you to create more complex shapes.
- Confirm changes: Once you're satisfied with the changes, press Enter to confirm.
Adjusting Wall Geometry
- Select the wall: Click on the wall that defines the room you want to adjust.
- Modify the wall: Use the various editing tools available in Revit to modify the wall.
- Move: Drag the wall to a new location.
- Extend or shorten: Extend or shorten the wall to change the room's dimensions.
- Add or remove segments: Add or remove wall segments to reshape the room.
- Update the room: Once you've adjusted the wall, Revit will automatically update the room size and area.

- Use the "Room Tag" tool: This tool helps you quickly identify and select rooms.
- Enable "Room Bounding" in the "Room & Area" settings: This ensures that rooms are automatically updated when you modify walls or other elements.
