How rare is Heller's syndrome?

Heller's syndrome, also known as childhood disintegrative disorder (CDD), is incredibly rare. It affects an estimated 1 to 9 children out of every 100,000. This means it's a much rarer condition than autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which affects about 1 in 54 children.
