How Do You Know If You're Brave?

Published in Psychology 1 min read

Bravery isn't about the absence of fear, but rather the choice to act despite it. You know you're brave when you:

  • Face your fears head-on: This could be anything from public speaking to confronting a difficult situation. Brave people don't let fear paralyze them; they take action.
  • Stand up for what you believe in: Even when it's unpopular or challenging, brave people have the courage to speak their truth and fight for their values.
  • Take risks: Bravery often means stepping outside of your comfort zone and venturing into the unknown. This could involve pursuing a new career, traveling to a foreign country, or simply trying something new.
  • Help others: Brave people aren't afraid to lend a helping hand, even when it means putting themselves at risk. They understand that true courage lies in serving others.

Bravery is not a constant state of being, but rather a series of choices we make each day. It's about recognizing your fears, acknowledging them, and then choosing to move forward despite them.
