Does a Baby Get Very Active Before Labour?

Published in Pregnancy 1 min read

It's common for babies to become more active in the weeks leading up to labor, but this isn't always the case.

As the baby grows and takes up more space in the uterus, it may have less room to move around freely. This can lead to a perception of decreased activity, even if the baby is moving just as much as before.
Some babies are naturally more active than others, and this can continue throughout pregnancy.
If you notice a sudden decrease in your baby's movements, it's important to contact your doctor or midwife.

While increased activity before labor is not a guarantee of imminent delivery, it can be a sign that your body is preparing for labor.
