Rotating a picture in Lightroom is quick and easy. Here's how:
Using the Rotate Tool
- Select the image: Click on the image you want to rotate in the Lightroom Library or Develop module.
- Access the Rotate Tool: You can find the Rotate Tool in the Toolbar on the right side of the screen. It looks like a curved arrow.
- Rotate the image: Click on the Rotate Tool and then click on the image to rotate it 90 degrees clockwise. You can also use the keyboard shortcuts Command + [ (Mac) or Ctrl + [ (Windows) to rotate counterclockwise and Command + ] (Mac) or Ctrl + ] (Windows) to rotate clockwise.
- Fine-tune the rotation: If you need more precise control, you can use the slider in the Rotate Tool panel to adjust the rotation angle.
Using the Straighten Tool
- Select the image: Click on the image you want to straighten in the Lightroom Library or Develop module.
- Access the Straighten Tool: You can find the Straighten Tool in the Toolbar on the right side of the screen. It looks like a horizontal line with an arrow on each end.
- Straighten the image: Click and drag the Straighten Tool along a horizontal line in the image to straighten it. You can also use the slider in the Straighten Tool panel to adjust the straightening angle.
Rotating using the Transform Panel
- Select the image: Click on the image you want to rotate in the Lightroom Library or Develop module.
- Open the Transform Panel: You can find the Transform Panel in the Develop module, located in the right-hand panel.
- Rotate the image: Use the "Rotate" slider in the Transform Panel to adjust the rotation angle. You can also use the "Flip Horizontal" and "Flip Vertical" options to mirror the image.
