How Do I Check My Colleague's Calendar in Outlook?

Published in Outlook 2 mins read

You can't directly check your colleague's calendar in Outlook unless they explicitly share it with you. However, they can grant you access to their calendar, allowing you to view their schedule and availability.

Here's how you can check your colleague's calendar if they've shared it with you:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click on the "Calendar" icon.
  3. In the left-hand navigation pane, look for your colleague's name under the "Other Calendars" section.
  4. If you see their name, click on it to view their calendar.

If you don't see your colleague's calendar, they may not have shared it with you. You can ask them to share their calendar with you by following these steps:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click on the "Calendar" icon.
  3. Click on the "Open Calendar" button.
  4. Select "From Directory" and search for your colleague's name.
  5. Click on their name and then click "Open."
  6. In the "Permission Level" dropdown menu, select the level of access you want (e.g., "Free/Busy Time Only," "Limited Details," or "Full Details").
  7. Click "OK."

Once you've been granted access, you'll be able to view your colleague's calendar in the "Other Calendars" section.
