You can install Ubuntu on Windows using the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). WSL lets you run a Linux environment directly within Windows, giving you access to popular Linux tools and applications.
Here's how to get started:
1. Enable WSL:
- Open Windows Settings (Windows key + I).
- Go to Apps > Apps & features.
- Click Programs and Features in the left pane.

- Click OK and restart your computer.
2. Install Ubuntu from the Microsoft Store:
- Open the Microsoft Store.
- Search for Ubuntu.

3. Launch Ubuntu:
- Once installed, search for Ubuntu in the Windows Start menu.
- Click the Ubuntu icon to launch it.
- You'll be prompted to create a user account for your Ubuntu environment.
Now you can use the Ubuntu terminal and access a wide range of Linux commands and tools.
