How Do I Unshare a OneNote Notebook?

To unshare a OneNote notebook, you need to remove the sharing permissions for other users. Here's how:

  1. Open the notebook you want to unshare.
  2. Click on the "Share" button in the top right corner.
  3. In the "Share" pane, click on the "People" tab.
  4. Find the user or group you want to remove from the list.
  5. Click on the three dots (...) next to their name and select "Remove".
  6. Confirm the removal by clicking "Remove".

Note: This will only remove the user's access to the notebook. They will still have access to any copies they may have saved locally.

To unshare a notebook completely, you can:

  • Delete the notebook: This will permanently remove the notebook and all its contents.
  • Create a new notebook and copy the content: You can create a new notebook and copy the contents from the shared notebook to the new one. Then, you can share the new notebook with the users you want.

Practical Insights:

  • You can also unshare a notebook by changing the permissions to "Can View". This will prevent users from editing the notebook, but they will still be able to view it.
  • If you are the owner of the notebook, you have full control over who can access it.
  • You can also set different permissions for different users.
