The most important thing to do is to stay calm. Bees are generally not aggressive and will only sting if they feel threatened.
Here are a few things you can do if a bee lands on you:
- Stay still. Sudden movements can scare the bee and make it more likely to sting.
- Let the bee fly off on its own. Bees are attracted to flowers and sweet smells, so it might be on you looking for a source of nectar.
- If the bee doesn't fly away, gently blow on it. This will help dislodge it.
- If the bee is still on you, carefully brush it off with your hand or a piece of paper. Be careful not to squish it.
If the bee stings you, remove the stinger as quickly as possible by scraping it off with your fingernail or a credit card. Avoid squeezing the stinger, as this will release more venom.
Important Note: If you are allergic to bee stings, seek medical attention immediately.
