Kanye West publicly addressed Billie Eilish during his performance at the 2022 Coachella Music Festival. He stated that he felt disrespected by Eilish after she stopped her concert to help a fan who was struggling to breathe.
Kanye felt that Eilish should have continued performing, as he believed that she was being dismissive of Travis Scott, who was involved in a deadly crowd surge at his Astroworld Festival in 2021.
He said, "I just wanna say to Billie Eilish, I love you. Please be respectful of the artists that came before you. I love you. I know you guys love her. But, she needs to be respectful to the artists that came before her."
However, it is important to note that Eilish's actions were in response to a fan's need for immediate medical attention, and she was not trying to disrespect Scott or any other artist.
Eilish later clarified that she was not referring to Scott in her actions and apologized if anyone felt offended.
