  • From the notification shade: Pull down the notification shade and tap the "Do Not Disturb" icon. This will unmute all notifications and allow them to come through.
  • From the Quick Settings panel: Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Settings panel. Tap the "Do Not Disturb" icon to unmute your phone.
  • From the Settings app: Go to Settings > Sounds and vibration > Do Not Disturb. You can then customize the Do Not Disturb settings, including which notifications are allowed to come through.

Unmuting Audio

If you're trying to unmute the audio on your phone, you can do so by:

  • Checking the volume buttons: Make sure the volume buttons are not muted. You can press them up or down to adjust the volume.
  • Checking the speaker: Make sure the speaker is not covered or blocked.
  • Checking the headphone jack: If you have headphones plugged in, make sure they are not muted.

  • Checking the "Silent Mode" switch: On some Galaxy phones, there is a physical "Silent Mode" switch on the side of the phone. Make sure this switch is not toggled to silent.
  • Checking the "Do Not Disturb" settings: If you have "Do Not Disturb" enabled, it may be blocking your ringtone. You can disable "Do Not Disturb" by following the steps above.
