When your phone is on Do Not Disturb mode, incoming calls are silenced.
Here's what happens in detail:
- Calls are silenced: The phone won't ring or vibrate, and the caller won't hear a ring tone.
- Calls are sent to voicemail: The call will automatically be directed to your voicemail, if you have one set up.
- Notifications are suppressed: You won't see any notifications for incoming calls on your lock screen or notification center.
Exceptions to Do Not Disturb:
- Favored contacts: You can set up exceptions for certain contacts, allowing their calls to bypass Do Not Disturb mode.
- Repeated calls: If the same caller tries to reach you multiple times within a short period, the call might still go through.
- Emergency calls: Calls from emergency numbers (like 911 or your local emergency services) will always go through, regardless of Do Not Disturb mode.
How to Use Do Not Disturb:
- Android: You can access Do Not Disturb mode through the quick settings menu or in the phone's settings app.
- iOS: You can access Do Not Disturb mode through the Control Center or in the phone's settings app.
