How Do You Change the Language of Text in Microsoft Word?

You can change the language of text in Microsoft Word by using the Language feature. Here's how:

1. Select the Text:

  • Click and drag your mouse over the text you want to change the language of.

2. Access the Language Feature:

  • Option 1: Go to the Review tab on the ribbon, and click on the Language group.
  • Option 2: Right-click on the selected text and choose Language from the context menu.

3. Choose the Language:

  • In the Language pane, select the desired language from the Set Language drop-down menu.
  • You can also choose the language by clicking on the Language button and selecting the appropriate language from the list.

4. Apply the Changes:

  • Click Set Language to apply the changes to the selected text.

Example:

Let's say you have a paragraph in English and want to change it to Spanish. After selecting the text, you would go to the Review tab, click on the Language group, and choose Spanish from the Set Language drop-down menu.
