The first few days after rhinoplasty are generally considered the most challenging.
Days 1-3: You'll likely experience significant swelling, bruising, and discomfort. You may also have difficulty breathing through your nose due to packing. This is normal and part of the healing process.
Day 4-7: Swelling starts to subside, but you may still have discomfort and difficulty breathing. Some patients experience a "pressure headache" during this time.
Week 1-2: Swelling continues to decrease, and you may start to see the initial shape of your nose. You may also have some crusting inside your nose, which can be uncomfortable.
Week 2-4: Most of the swelling has subsided, and you can start to appreciate the final results. However, some residual swelling may remain for several months.
It's important to remember that everyone heals differently, and your experience may vary. Your surgeon will provide specific instructions for your recovery.
