You can allow network access for apps on your Mac through the System Settings app. Here's how:
- Open System Settings: Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of your screen, then select System Settings.
- Navigate to Network: In the left sidebar, click Network.
- Select Firewall: Click Firewall in the right pane.
- Choose Firewall Options: Click the Firewall Options button.
- Enable Firewall: Make sure the Firewall is on checkbox is ticked.
- Allow Apps: Click the Add (+) button to add apps that you want to allow network access.
- Select Apps: Choose the apps from the list that you want to give network access.
- Confirm Changes: Click OK to save your changes.
You can also use the System Preferences app to manage app network access on older macOS versions.
Note: Some apps may need network access to function properly. If you block network access for an app, it might not work as expected.
