BSL stands for British Sign Language, and it has four main levels:
BSL Levels
- BSL Level 1: This level focuses on basic communication skills, including understanding and using basic signs, numbers, and everyday vocabulary.
- BSL Level 2: This level builds upon Level 1, introducing more complex grammar, vocabulary, and cultural aspects of BSL.
- BSL Level 3: This level focuses on advanced communication skills, including fluency, interpreting complex grammar, and using BSL in various situations.
- BSL Level 4: This level is the highest level of BSL proficiency, requiring mastery of complex grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances, and the ability to communicate effectively in diverse settings.
Understanding the Levels
Each BSL level requires a different level of commitment and time to master. Learning BSL can be a rewarding experience, opening up new opportunities to communicate and connect with the Deaf community.
