How Do I Disable the Control Center on My iPad?

Published in iPad 1 min read

You can't entirely disable the Control Center on your iPad. However, you can prevent it from appearing by using a feature called Guided Access.

Here's how to use Guided Access:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPad.
  2. Tap on Accessibility, then Guided Access.
  3. Turn on Guided Access.
  4. Set a passcode if you want to protect it.
  5. Launch the app you want to use in Guided Access.
  6. Triple-click the Home button (or the Side button on newer iPads).
  7. Tap "Start".

Now, when you use the app, the Control Center won't appear. To exit Guided Access, triple-click the Home button (or Side button) again and enter your passcode if you set one.

Important Note: Guided Access disables all other features on your iPad except the app you're using. You can customize Guided Access settings to allow certain features, such as volume control, but you can't fully disable the Control Center.
