You can outline and crop images in Photoshop using the Crop Tool.

Using the Crop Tool

  1. Select the Crop Tool: Find it in the Tools Panel on the left side of the screen. It looks like a square with a dotted line.
  2. Drag the Crop Tool: Drag the corners or edges of the crop rectangle to adjust the area you want to keep.
  3. Adjust the Crop: You can:
    • Move the crop area: Click and drag inside the crop rectangle to reposition it.
    • Adjust the aspect ratio: Use the options bar at the top to set a specific ratio (e.g., 4:3, 16:9) or choose a predefined ratio from the dropdown menu.
    • Rotate the crop: Click the Rotate button in the options bar to rotate the crop area.
  4. Add a Background: You can choose to have a solid background color or a pattern fill behind the cropped area.
  5. Confirm the Crop: Press Enter or click the checkmark icon in the options bar to apply the crop.

Additional Tips

  • Use the "Perspective Crop Tool": This tool lets you crop images with perspective, which is helpful for straightening tilted images.
  • Create a Selection First: You can select a specific area of the image with other tools (like the Lasso Tool) and then use the Crop Tool to crop only that selected area.
  • Use the "Crop Overlay" Feature: This feature lets you see the cropped area in a transparent overlay before you apply the crop.

By using the Crop Tool and its various options, you can easily outline and crop images to achieve your desired results in Photoshop.
