How Do You Drag Canvas Size in Photoshop?

You can't directly drag the canvas size in Photoshop. Instead, you need to use the Image Size dialog box to change the canvas dimensions.

Here's how to resize your canvas in Photoshop:

  1. Open your image in Photoshop.
  2. Go to Image > Canvas Size.
  3. In the Canvas Size dialog box, you can adjust the following:
    • Width and Height: Enter the new dimensions for your canvas.
    • Anchor: This determines where the extra space will be added. You can choose from the following options:
      • Top Left: Adds space to the top and left of the existing canvas.
      • Top Center: Adds space to the top and centers the existing canvas horizontally.
      • Top Right: Adds space to the top and right of the existing canvas.
      • Middle Left: Adds space to the left and centers the existing canvas vertically.
      • Middle Center: Adds space all around the existing canvas, maintaining its center position.
      • Middle Right: Adds space to the right and centers the existing canvas vertically.
      • Bottom Left: Adds space to the bottom and left of the existing canvas.
      • Bottom Center: Adds space to the bottom and centers the existing canvas horizontally.
      • Bottom Right: Adds space to the bottom and right of the existing canvas.
  4. Choose a background color for the new canvas area.
  5. Click OK to apply the changes.
