How Do I Remove the Background on Photoshop Mobile?

Published in Image Editing 2 mins read

You can remove the background on Photoshop Mobile using the "Subject Selection" tool.

This tool automatically detects the subject in your image and creates a selection around it. Once the subject is selected, you can easily remove the background.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Open the image in Photoshop Mobile.
  2. Tap the "Select" icon at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Choose "Subject Selection."
  4. Photoshop Mobile will automatically detect the subject and create a selection around it.
  5. You can adjust the selection using the "Selection" tools.
  6. Once you're happy with the selection, tap the "Layers" icon.
  7. Tap the "Add Layer Mask" icon.
  8. This will create a layer mask that hides the background.
  9. You can now tap the "Background" layer and delete it.

Now you have your subject with a transparent background. You can save the image as a PNG to preserve the transparency.

Note: The "Subject Selection" tool works best with images that have a clear subject and a simple background. If your image has a complex background or multiple subjects, you may need to use other selection tools or manually remove the background.
