Your IELTS Speaking test is assessed by a trained and certified examiner, not a computer or automated system. This examiner is specifically trained to evaluate your spoken English skills across four criteria:
- Fluency and Coherence: How smoothly and logically you speak.
- Lexical Resource: Your vocabulary range and accuracy.
- Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Your ability to use a variety of grammar structures correctly.
- Pronunciation: How clearly and accurately you pronounce words and sounds.
The examiner uses a detailed scoring rubric to assess your performance in real-time, taking notes throughout the test. This allows them to provide a comprehensive and fair evaluation of your overall speaking ability.
