What two fears are you born with?

Published in Human Psychology 1 min read

We are born with two innate fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. These fears are hardwired into our brains to help us survive.

  • The fear of falling is essential for our safety as infants. We are completely dependent on others for care and are extremely vulnerable to injury if we fall. This fear helps us avoid dangerous situations and keeps us safe.
  • The fear of loud noises is a protective mechanism against potential danger. Loud noises can be a sign of a predator or other threat. This fear triggers the "fight or flight" response, allowing us to quickly react to danger.

As we grow older, we develop other fears based on our experiences and learning. However, these two innate fears remain with us throughout our lives.
