Which Organ Turns Liquid into Urine?

Published in Human Biology 1 min read

The kidneys are the organs responsible for turning liquid into urine.

The kidneys filter waste products and excess fluids from the blood, producing urine. This process involves several steps:

* **Filtration:** The kidneys filter blood through tiny structures called nephrons.
* **Reabsorption:** The kidneys reabsorb essential substances, like water, glucose, and electrolytes, back into the bloodstream.
* **Secretion:** The kidneys secrete waste products, such as urea, creatinine, and excess electrolytes, into the urine.

Urine then travels through the ureters to the bladder, where it is stored until it is eliminated from the body through the urethra.
