According to Islamic dietary laws, the blood of an animal is considered impure and therefore not halal. While the entire body of a halal-slaughtered chicken is generally considered permissible to eat, the blood within its veins and arteries is not.
This is why the Islamic method of slaughtering, known as Zabiha, involves a swift cut to the jugular vein, allowing the blood to drain out of the animal before it is processed.
Therefore, while the meat of a halal chicken is considered halal, the blood remaining within the animal is not.
