Importing a shared Google Calendar allows you to view and manage events from another user's calendar within your own Google Calendar. Here's how to do it:
Step 1: Access the Shared Calendar
- Open Google Calendar: Go to https://calendar.google.com/.
- Find the shared calendar: You can either search for the calendar by name in the "Other calendars" section on the left side of the screen or receive an email invitation to access the calendar.
Step 2: Import the Calendar
- Click on the "Other calendars" section: It's located on the left side of the screen.
- Select "Add other calendars": This option will appear below the list of calendars.
- Choose "From URL": This will open a dialogue box where you can paste the calendar's URL.
- Paste the calendar's URL: You can obtain this URL from the email invitation or by asking the calendar owner.
- Click "Add Calendar": This will import the shared calendar into your Google Calendar.
Step 3: View and Manage the Shared Calendar
- View the shared calendar: The imported calendar will appear in the "Other calendars" section.
- Manage the calendar: You can customize the calendar's color, name, and visibility settings.
- Add events: You can add events to the shared calendar if you have permission to do so.
Note: You may need to refresh your Google Calendar to see the imported calendar.
Remember that your ability to manage the shared calendar depends on the permissions granted by the calendar owner.
